2nd Workshop on Building Disaster Resistant Universities
~Is Your University Ready for the next Natural Disaster?~
3-5 April 2018 at Tohoku University in Japan
A special workshop focusing on preparedness for natural disasters was organized again at Tohoku University in Japan under the APRU Multi-Hazards Program. 21 participants attended including faculty members and staff from 12 universities and institutions in Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Spain and Taiwan.
This workshop aimed to share experience of disaster preparedness on campus and identify challenges and issues, discuss how to strengthen their current management plan, and focus on various aspects of disaster management on campus – chemical, pandemic and natural hazards.
