~Risk assessment on campus with an all-hazards approach:
addressing and understanding the risks of both natural and man-made hazards ~
12-15 February 2020 at Tohoku University in Japan
A special workshop focusing on both natural and man-made hazards (especially Natech – natural hazards triggering technological hazards) was organized at Tohoku University in Japan under the APRU Multi-Hazards Program. 24 participants attended including faculty members and staff from 13 universities and institutions in China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan and U.S.A.

Major Objectives
- Understand the natural and man-made disasters and their similarities and differences (particularly in preparation and response)
- Learn how to conduct a comprehensive disaster risk assessment using an all-hazards approach in their universities
